David Kimhy, PhD
Dr. David Kimhy has over 15 years of experience developing and executing clinical trials designed to improve neurocognitive, affective, and behavioral functioning in individuals with schizophrenia, as well as adolescents and young adults at clinical high-risk for psychosis. Dr. Kimhy brings to NeuroCog Trials expertise in cognitive neuroscience and severe psychopathology research including trials design and execution, neurocognitive, clinical and functional assessment, biological bases of behavior, and schizophrenia and psychosis-risk research and treatment.
He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and obtained research grants from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Alliance for Research of Schizophrenia and Affective Disorders (NARSAD). Following his doctoral training, he completed a 3-year NIMH-funded postdoctoral training in schizophrenia research at the Department of Psychiatry at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He received a BA in Psychology from The City College of New York and earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University.
